Short Bio

I am the Iconic Artist of Tomorrow. I scream when I make art

Statement

I am currently pursuing a B.A. in Studio Art at California State University,
Bakersfield. Before I started Bakersfield College, I attended Bakersfield Adult School to
learn business administration and office for a future career in job learning.  My art projects are informed by pop culture because they represent humor. For traditional art, I use paint, markers, and colored pencils, but for digital art, I use adobe applications. I take photos of my surroundings and nature to enhance my photography skills. I art to express myself by examining topics of interest because creativity supports my disability and dependent life.
My interest in art helps me overcome my disability. I struggle with autism and other mental health issues including depression and anxiety, but I know how to progress in art and creativity. The only coloring materials I use to combat stress are colored pencils and markers, but have recently begun studying painting and digital art. I have a series of self-portraits as anime chibis that are self-deprecating which allows me to express my different emotional states. I take photos to support my mental health when I see beautiful surroundings or moments when I encounter abstractions of nature and events. The central themes in my art work are man-made and industrial objects, surroundings, nature, and experiences. I draw sex workers because I support the adult industry when society has no respect for them, and I want to show their beauty and nature from their creative work. In the future, I will pursue a career in either digital arts that incorporates anime and photography or as an acrylic artist.
